Deo Volente was founded in 2011 with a twofold purpose. The first being a social purpose. The heart behind Deo Volente is to provide services for the residents of developments and to meet the needs of families, elderly, and children in affordable housing developments. Judy Van Dyke

Founder

Judy Van Dyke founded Deo Volente as a extension of social entrepreneurship. Judy is an attorney who has specialized in affordable housing, community development and related issues for over seventeen years. Judy joined The Bennett Group in 2004 and began working exclusively with clients to develop and preserve affordable housing.

Beverlye Brady

President

Beverlye is the sole proprietor of Bevelye Brady and Associates in Auburn, AL. Beverlye began practicing law in Auburn in 1986. She is a Benefactor Member of the Auburn University Women's Philanthropy Board where she has served as Co-Chair of the Corporate Partners Committee on the WPB Executive Committee. Beverlye serves on the Charter Foundation Board of CharterBank. She served on the Auburn Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors from 1999-2001 and is the Former Chairman of the Lee County Republican Executive Committee, the Former President of the Lee County Republican Club, the Former President of the Kiwanis Club of Lee County, and has served on the Lee County American Cancer Society Board of Directors as well as the Lee County Heart Association and Heart Guild Executive Committee.

Susan Morrison

Vice President

Susan specializes in land brokerage as well as homes with acreage. She has lived in the southeast all of her life, including 30 years in Dothan.  Many of her clients are looking to acquire rural properties to enjoy a more simple lifestyle. While land is her "field" of expertise, she is not limited to land transactions but also deals with residential as well as commercial transactions as well.

Michelle Granberry

Treasurer

Michelle is a partner with Lovoy, Summerville & Shelton, L.L.C. and is responsible for providing audit, tax and consulting services to our clients.  She is a native of Huntsville, Alabama and is a graduate of Auburn University. Michelle received her CPA certificate in 1999. Michelle is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants and the East Alabama Chapter of the Alabama Society.   She is also a member of the Auburn University School of Accountancy Advisory Board, the National Society of Certified Public Accountants and the AICPA Government Audit Quality Center.  Michelle previously served as Board Treasurer of the Child Advocacy Center of East Alabama, Inc.

Scott Bryant

Executive Director

Scott has extensive experience with community outreach and event organization. Having served as Executive Pastor of The City Church in Auburn for 7 years, he has promoted and organized numerous programs and events to serve the Auburn area reaching thousands. Scott was ordained as a minister in 2007 and has devoted his life to making a difference in this community. He joined the Deo Volente team in 2014 and is already working on helping to provide additional services to 4 local affordable housing developments and anticipates extending that reach even further in the near future.
